About Get Local

Get Local was created out of the personal frustration of navigating Facebook, websites, Instagram, Friends, tourism websites, and all the sorts just to figure out what is happening in town. If I want to try and plan my weekend, I better be ready to have my list of known websites, their Facebook pages, and flyers just to get things planned.

I wanted a one stop shop; show me that on Thursday I can skate at the Rollerdrome, see which movie is playing at The Roxy theater, peek at what live music is playing at The Carlisle, or remind myself that I can wind down with yoga at Lauren’s yoga studio.
